Data Recovery and Holidays

Christmas is a weird time of year for us. For our run of the mill data recovery* Christmas is relatively quite on the business front* but much busier on the personal front. It seems to go crazy just after christmas day* (we can only assume from people deleting photo's taken on their new cameras).
We have decided to take a good break over Christmas* but as sure as eggs is eggs* you can be certain that an hour after we close the offices and labs* we will get a large corporate or governmental organisation contact us asking for emergency RAID data recovery.
The same things happens over Bank Holiday Weekends. Friday at 4:45* (we shut at 5:00)* we get a call that dashes the plans of both Operations and Technical.
I can only think that its Murphy's Law that makes this happen* (and of course over zealous users 'taking a look to see if they can get it back themselves'). I shouldnt mock* as its because of these people - who no doubt have the best of intentions - that data recovery jobs end up in our labs.
Christmas do on Thursday night at a resturaunt called Pier 39. Its a nice bit of grum with an Amy Winehouse tribute on. Should be amusing. As the booze will be flowing* I just hope that everyone enjoys themselves?
Whoever you are and what ever you are doing* enjoy the holidays.
